Public outreach events

As a parent of one of the boy scouts that visited the observatory last Thursday night, I'd like to personally thank you for allowing us the opportunity to get a closer look at some of the planets. Last night I was in a remote cemetery with my research group doing an investigation when one of the members asked about "that bright star" in the western sky. Of course, I couldn't resist the chance to show off what I had learned about Venus and the alignment of the other planets, atmospheric conditions and the affect on viewing them. I also enjoyed visiting your website and wondered if the comet NEAT will be viewable (weather permitting) from the observatory in late May.
