White House Astronomy Night

As part of the International Year of Light and in conjunction with White House Astronomy Night, Skyscrapers, Inc. is partnering with Chandra X-Ray Observatory to host a local star party on the Rhode Island State House lawn on Monday, October 19 at 7pm. Over a dozen telescopes will be set up, providing views of a waxing crescent Moon, star systems, nebulae and clusters. Local astronomers will be on hand to discuss and answer questions about learning the night sky, the science of astronomy and the latest findings from current space exploration missions.
