2006 Cookout/Meeting with Dr. Scott Wolk

Good times under good weather during our 2006 picnic. Dr. Scott Wolk of Harvard College Observatory spoke about “X-Rays in our Solar System,” including Comet Temple 1. The cookout was dedicated to long-time member Vivian Hartnett, who passed away June 9.

Holiday Party Meeting

Our guest speaker for our holiday meeting was Dr. William Sullivan who presented a talk on Myth, Astronomy and the War Against Time, “The Secrets of the Incas”. Following the talk, refreshments and socializing, we enjoyed Gerry Dyck's recitation of "A Child's Christmas in Wales", by Dylan Thomas.
